WMF GALA CONCERT INVITE!
Great News! The St. James-Assiniboia Jr. Divisional Concert Choir has been invited to perform 'Tis the Gift to be Simple' and Bandyrowe' at the Winnipeg Music Festival's Gala Concert at Westminster United Church, on Sunday, March 20th at 2:00PM. The choir is asked to arrive by 1:30PM and the concert will end at 4:00PM. Parents are asked to provide transportation to and from the concert. The JCC is honoured to be asked to sing at this Final Concert, which features highlights from the festival. Admission is FREE and the concert is open to the public. Rush Seating only.
The Festival requires a confirmation by this Friday, March 11th, so I am asking all parents to send an email to arussell@sjsd.net to confirm their child's availability to attend the concert on Mar. 20th. I am so proud of our students' hard work, and hope that we will be able to accept this very special invitation.
Congratulations to our Wonderful Singers!

WMF PERFORMANCE THIS SATURDAY
WMF PERFORMANCE THIS SATURDAY:
1. Our Winnipeg Music Festival date is Saturday, March 5th. We are in three classes, performing 6 songs, accompanied by Andrew St. Hilaire and Katie Abraham - Lobster Quadrille, Plaisir d'Amour, 'Tis the Gift to Be Simple, Bandyrowe, Ave Maria, and Celtic Blessing. We are very fortunate to have Ms. Armstrong warm up the JCC from 1:00PM-1:30PM, while Ms. Russell and Ms. Abraham will be on the stage with the Westwood Chamber Choir. Following Westwood's performance, the JCC will take the stage from 1:30PM until 2:15PM. Students are asked to arrive at Westminster United Church (corner of Maryland & Westminster) by 12:30PM in their concert attire, and will sit with Ms. Armstrong in the church, until they are called to their warm-up room at 1:00PM. Vest moms will be there to assist. As there will not be a choir performing in the church until 1:00PM, vests can be put on before going into warm-up. This way, Ms. Armstrong can have enough time to warm-up the choir. We are really looking forward to this performance, and it will be great to have all the parents, families, and friends in the audience. General admission is $4.00 at the door, with free admission for children 12 & under.
